A leading company in the design and production of plastic enclosures for electronics approached us with the need to develop a new DIN rail mounting system for one of its products in its range.

The project involved transitioning from two components to a single component, with front mounting.

Feasibility study

Starting from a blank sheet, a study was developed to ensure the possibility of mounting the attachment at the front and locking it in the open position, allowing the operator, during product disassembly, a more agile and immediate action.

FEM Analysis

We examined the compliant mechanism, consisting of a single element in polymer material, to verify the correct functioning of the application.

In addition to the attachment, we also conducted a study on new solutions for the development of the enclosure and its accessories.
